Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) | St. Petersburg, FL

Job Summary

We are looking for a Licensed Mental Health Counselor to provide virtual counseling for clients across Florida. This role is centered on direct therapy work, including intake conversations, treatment planning, client sessions, and ongoing progress reviews.

You will work with clients who may be dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, family concerns, grief, adjustment challenges, or emotional overwhelm. Your role is to provide professional support, help clients build practical tools, and guide care in a way that is clinically sound and easy for clients to understand.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one telehealth therapy sessions
  • Complete intake assessments and gather relevant clinical information
  • Create clear treatment plans based on client goals and clinical needs
  • Help clients build coping skills and work through emotional challenges
  • Maintain accurate session notes and treatment records
  • Follow all privacy, ethical, and licensure requirements
  • Monitor client progress and update care plans when needed
  • Escalate concerns appropriately when a client may need additional support

Requirements

  • Active Florida LMHC license in good standing
  • Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
  • Experience providing counseling services to adults, families, or diverse client populations
  • Comfortable delivering therapy through telehealth
  • Strong clinical documentation and communication skills
  • Reliable internet connection and a private workspace for virtual sessions
