Intake Manager – Sarasota Office

Full-Time | Hourly (Non-Exempt) | $17–$20 per hour

We are looking for a friendly, organized, and people-centered Intake Manager to be the welcoming first voice and face of our Sarasota office. This role supports Manatee County and other areas within our service footprint and plays a critical part in connecting volunteers and families to life-changing mentoring relationships.

What You’ll Do

You’ll be the first step in a journey that can change a child’s life.

  • Greet callers and visitors with warmth, professionalism, and enthusiasm

  • Guide volunteers and families through the intake and enrollment process

  • Schedule interviews, fingerprinting, and enrollment appointments

  • Manage calendars using Outlook and Acuity

  • Coordinate virtual meetings as needed

  • Enter and manage data in our web-based MatchForce system

  • Follow up with potential volunteers and families to keep the process moving

  • Complete reference checks and background screenings

  • Verify volunteer documentation and escalate any concerns appropriately

  • Serve as a helpful liaison between volunteers, families, and Mentor Managers

  • Respond promptly and compassionately to parent/guardian inquiries

Occasional evening or weekend support at agency events may be needed.


Who You Are
  • A positive, welcoming communicator who enjoys working with people of all ages

  • Comfortable speaking with both adults and children, in person and on the phone

  • Organized and detail-oriented in a fast-paced setting

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and data entry systems

  • Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus)

  • Dependable, with strong attendance and follow-through

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • 2–3 years of administrative experience preferred

  • Valid government issued ID required

  • Able to pass a drug screening and comprehensive background check
