Job description

Job Overview
The Regional Sales Manager - Technical Sales is responsible for the sale of high-voltage test and measurement equipment, including AC and DC hipots, partial discharge measurement systems, and large-scale AC and DC testing solutions across a diverse range of applications. Promote and support Hipotronics products utilized in the testing of various electrical apparatus, including transformers, switchgear, motors/generators, bushings, insulating materials, high-voltage cable, and aerial lift equipment (bucket trucks). Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, as well as, expanding customer baseswithin the utility and industrial sectors through regular outreach and on-site visits.
This role will be covering the Western Region including California, Washington, Nevada. Incumbent can reside in any of these states as well as Texas and Colorado.
A Day In The Life
Every day at Hubbell is different and you'll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you'll make a difference by:
  • Generate price proposals and quotations to customers.
  • Provide technical (specifications) documentation for the quotes.
  • Interface with marketing and engineering on technical issues.
  • Provide market feedback and write technical specifications for new products.
  • Attain the yearly sales goals for the territory.
  • Correspond with customers, agents and regional manages as needed.
  • Identify and report issues that may impact our ability to meet customer requirements.
  • Reach a strong and productive relationship (manage) with our sales agents quickly.
  • Able to work independently and as part of international selling team.
  • Operate as a teammate within the Hipotronics Sales department, pitch in where needed.
  • Participate at technical symposia and trade exhibitions.
  • Ability to be flexible, help other departments when needed to achieve business goals

What will help you thrive in this role?
  • Bachelors (preferred) or associates degree in technical or business field or minimum of 5+ years in technical sales or field sales
  • Experience in high voltage test and measurement equipment a plus or similar technical field
  • Excellent sales and application skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively interact and maintain effective relationships with other employees
  • Willing to travel up to 30%
