Compensation: $80K- $95K

Employment Type: Direct Hire
Our client, a well-established civil litigation defense firm, is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join its growing Thousand Oaks office. This position has been created due to continued growth and offers the opportunity to support one attorney initially, with the potential to support up to three attorneys as the office expands.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates effectively, manages priorities independently, and consistently delivers high-quality work with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive litigation support to attorneys handling personal injury insurance defense matters
  • Manage attorney calendars, including scheduling depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, meetings, and travel arrangements
  • Coordinate with opposing counsel, court personnel, clients, and insurance carriers
  • Prepare, proofread, revise, and finalize correspondence, pleadings, discovery, motions, and other legal documents
  • Prepare and electronically file documents in California State and Federal Courts
  • Maintain and track litigation deadlines using docketing and calendaring systems
  • Open, organize, maintain, and close legal files
  • Assist with discovery, document production, and case management activities
  • Support trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and case materials
  • Manage large volumes of documents and ensure accurate file maintenance
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years supporting personal injury insurance defense attorneys required.
  • Candidates must be located in CA.
