Job description

A California family law practice is seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal for a full-time, contract-to-hire position. The role is based in Newport Beach, California, with remote candidates located elsewhere in California potentially considered. Remote candidates must remain available during regular California business hours.

Key Responsibilities

Support multiple attorneys across approximately 25 to 40 active matters. Responsibilities include drafting pleadings, declarations, financial disclosures, discovery, and correspondence; managing court deadlines and case calendars; organizing document production and financial records; completing California court filings; and preparing exhibits, trial binders, deposition materials, and hearing notebooks.

Qualifications

Candidates must have an ABA-approved paralegal certificate. Recent California family law experience is strongly preferred, along with at least one year of drafting, discovery, legal research, and California filing experience. Knowledge of Orange County Superior Court procedures and experience managing 25 or more active matters are preferred.

Work Arrangement

This is a full-time position requiring 40 or more hours per week. The role must be the candidateโ€™s primary full-time job. Candidates who work effectively in an office-based, collaborative environment are encouraged to apply.

Compensation

The expected pay range is $30.00 to $63.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
