Employment Law Paralegal Supporting Individual Discrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation Litigation

Position Overview:

We are seeking an Employment Law Paralegal with substantial experience supporting state and federal employment litigation in California Courts, particularly under the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) and Title VII. The ideal candidate has experience assisting attorneys in all phases of litigation, from case intake through trial, and managing a moderate-to-high volume caseload with precision and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

· Drafting shell correspondence, pleadings, and motions in state and federal courts.

· E-filing in state and federal courts, including filings under seal.

· Preparing and reviewing discovery, including written requests and responses, document production, and deposition preparation.

· Organizing and maintaining case files.

· Managing case calendars and deadlines.

· Scheduling meetings, telephone conferences, webinars, and travel.

· Arranging court reporters for depositions and hearings.

· Maintaining billable hour records, managing and tracking expenses, and preparing budget reports.

· Assisting with trial preparation, including exhibits, witness coordination, and trial binders.

· Interfacing with court personnel, experts, clients, opposing counsel, and co-counsel.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree

· Minimum 3 years of paralegal experience in employment litigation (Strong knowledge of California employment law - FEHA preferred.)

· 2+ years of experience with state and federal e-filing systems.

Preferred Skills:

· Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.

· Ability to handle multiple cases and meet strict deadlines.

· Ability to collaborate with a team

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Experience with SharePoint, Office365, Microsoft Teams, Clio, Lexis, Lexis CourtLink, Logikcull (eDiscovery), and Adobe Acrobat DC

· Ability to track billable hours on an ongoing basis
