What is a Remote Baggage Handling System?

A Remote Baggage Handling System is a technology-driven solution used in airports to manage, sort, and transport passengers’ luggage from check-in to the aircraft, without the need for manual handling at every stage. These systems use a combination of conveyor belts, RFID scanners, and automated software to track and route bags efficiently. By operating remotely, these systems can be monitored and controlled by off-site teams, improving reliability and reducing the risk of lost luggage.
