Job description

Snelling is currently recruiting for a Baggage Handler/General Laborer in the Birmingham area. 1st shift opening (scheduling below). The starting pay rate is $15.00/hr!

Work Schedule for Baggage Handler:
Wednesday-Sunday: 3:30am - 12:00pm.
(Off Days are Monday & Tuesdays)
Job Duties for Baggage Handler:
  • Assists with clearing system jams of bags and shift inspections of conveyor systems.
  • Assists diagnose equipment failures under the guidance of senior personnel; ensures equipment is running safely.
  • Read and interpret repair manuals, basic schematics and supervisor/manager's instructions.
  • Assists Technicians with basic maintenance such as sweeping, cleaning and greasing.
  • Perform additional duties/assignments that may be required by management
Job Requirements for Baggage Handler:
  • Need to be able to work with minimum supervision
  • Need to be comfortable standing, stooping, bending and lifting up to 100 lbs.
  • Need to have a flexible schedule
  • Requires a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
