Your future role at a glance

Location: Partially Remote - Austin, Texas - Travel to multiple sites 

Department: Ascension Care Management Insurance 

Schedule: Full-Time, 8-hour shifts, Rotating | Monday - Sunday, 70% local travel

Salary: $24.87-$33.64 per hour

How you'll make an impact in this role
  • Coordinate community outreach programs and activities of Dell Children's Health Plan (DCHP).  This is a field based opportunity, with travel required throughout Austin, TX. Flexibility is needed for evening and weekend events.
  • Analyze community needs to determine program opportunities, scope and goals. Track and report data to substantiate efforts.
  • Maintain relationships with community resources, referral sources, agencies, and associations.
  • Maintain event calendar. Coordinate and train volunteer staff for outreach and educational events.
  • Coordinate educational programs and outreach activities for associates and/or clients.
What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Drivers License preferred. Licensure required relevant to state in which work is performed.
  • Social Worker preferred. Licensure required relevant to state in which work is performed.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
    • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable. 
What additional requirements you'll need
  • Fluent in Spanish - strongly preferred
  • Prior Community Healthcare Outreach experience preferred
  • Prior experience with Texas Medicaid or health plan experience preferred
  • Prior event planning experience preferred
  • Certified Community Healthcare Worker (CCHW) preferred
