Community Outreach Coordinator
Valley Health Partners, Allentown, PA
Job Summary:
The Community Outreach Coordinator supports Valley Health Partners Community Health Center (VHP) in strengthening connections with the communities we serve. This role focuses on engaging directly with community members, attending and supporting local events, and nurturing relationships with community partners. Working under the guidance of leadership, the Community Outreach Coordinator helps execute outreach initiatives designed to increase awareness of VHP's services and improve access to care. This position is ideal for someone passionate about community engagement and public health. Occasional evening and weekend community outreach events required.
Qualifications:
Work Experience:
  • One year of experience in community outreach, community relations, or public health engagement

Education:
  • Associate's Degree in Public Health, Social Work, Marketing, or a related field. Additional 1 year of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Social Work, Marketing, or a related field, preferred.

Needed Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Comfortable engaging with diverse populations and community groups.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed for community events.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Passion for community service and health equity.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, all while following guidance from leadership.
  • Maintains appropriate confidentiality when working with community members and stakeholders.
