EmotiCare Behavioral Health is seeking a motivated and compassionate Community-Based Outreach Specialist to provide behavioral health services to youth, adolescents, and families in their homes, schools, and communities. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, building strong relationships, and helping clients develop practical skills that create lasting change.
FLEXIBLE, CLIENT-FOCUSED SCHEDULE
This is not a traditional Monday-through-Friday office position. Outreach services are scheduled around client and family availability. The successful candidate must be comfortable managing a flexible schedule that may include afternoon, evening, and weekend appointments as needed.
The position offers meaningful independence and flexibility in organizing your schedule while meeting client needs, documentation requirements, and productivity expectations.
COMPENSATION
- $38,000 annual base salary plus productivity-based commission. Potential total annual compensation ranges from approximately $38,000 to $57,656 or more, depending on eligible service revenue generated.
- Full-time, non-exempt position
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Provide life-skills training, family-support services, counseling, and case management.
- Deliver services in clients' homes, schools, EmotiCare offices, and community settings.
- Build supportive relationships with youth, adolescents, parents, guardians, and other caregivers.
- Complete behavioral health assessments and assist in developing individualized treatment plans.
- Help clients strengthen coping skills, improve social-emotional well-being, and achieve treatment goals.
- Coordinate care with families, schools, referral sources, and community partners.
- Provide crisis support and assess safety concerns when needed.
- Maintain accurate, timely progress notes and other required clinical documentation.
- Manage an assigned caseload and meet established productivity expectations.
- Provide individual, family, and group services based on program and client needs.
- Work independently in the community while remaining connected to a supportive clinical team.
- Represent EmotiCare professionally and help strengthen our community partnerships.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, behavioral health, or a related field; relevant equivalent experience may be considered.
- At least two years of related behavioral health, youth-services, community outreach, or case-management experience preferred.
- Experience working with adolescents and families experiencing behavioral or mental health challenges.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage a flexible schedule, and maintain accountability for services and documentation.
- Ability to respond calmly and professionally during challenging or crisis situations.
- Familiarity with electronic health records and behavioral health documentation requirements.
- Bilingual skills are preferred but not required.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Valid Arizona driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to use a personal or company vehicle for community-based services.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
- Ability to carry a work cell phone and remain responsive during scheduled service periods.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends based on client and program needs.
