Position Summary

The Community Outreach Manager will serve as a key connector for the community, helping individuals prepare for emergencies including natural disasters, economic downturns, or potential societal upheaval. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about social media platforms and preparedness strategies, able to facilitate engaging workshops, create community plans for readiness, and possess strong interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport within diverse communities.

Job Duties

Support Networks

• Facilitate the formation of support networks among community members to share resources, skills, and knowledge.

Community Engagement

• Build and maintain relationships with online community members, organizations, and leaders to foster awareness about preparedness strategies.

Workshops and Training

• Plan and conduct workshops, seminars, and training sessions on topics such as food storage, emergency plans, first aid, and resource management.

Resource Development

• Create and distribute educational materials and resources to assist individuals in their preparedness efforts.

Assessments
