Your expertise in social work will be crucial in developing integrated care plans that inspire hope and lead to meaningful change.

About the Organization

Community Outreach Network is a progressive nonprofit organization committed to empowering individuals and families who face systemic challenges. Our mission revolves around delivering comprehensive support, advocacy, and social services that focus on social justice and community cohesion. By partnering with local organizations and employing a person-centered approach, we strive to uplift those dealing with issues such as homelessness, substance abuse, domestic violence, and poverty.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing flexibility while maintaining a high level of interaction with clients and team members through virtual platforms. • Develop, implement, and regularly update personalized service plans that specify intervention strategies, short- and long-term goals, and methods for monitoring progress over time.
  • Provide individual and family counseling sessions that respect each clientโ€™s unique experiences while employing evidence-based therapeutic methods to facilitate healing and behavioral change.
  • Assist clients in crisis situations by performing risk assessments, safety planning, and offering immediate support tailored to their needs.
  • Engage in advocacy efforts, coordinating with community resources and agencies to ensure clients are connected to necessary services, whether that involves housing assistance, health care, or substance abuse treatment.
  • Participate in community outreach initiatives to promote services, gather feedback, and raise awareness about the barriers faced by client populations.
  • Attend regular team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions to share insights, improve practices, and cultivate an environment of continuous professional development.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is on supporting individuals enrolled in detox programs, who are navigating the complexities of substance use disorders. You will work closely with clients experiencing significant life transitions and emotional distress, where your skills in empathy, cultural competence, and trauma-informed care will be essential in building rapport and trust.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required to ensure theoretical knowledge and clinical expertise.
  • An active state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is mandatory for this role, affirming your qualifications to practice independently.
  • Strong knowledge of social justice issues, trauma-informed approaches, and local community resources is crucial for effective interfacing with clients.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, along with the ability to engage diverse populations in meaningful dialogue.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience working in a social service or counseling setting, particularly focusing on substance abuse and recovery, will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
  • Familiarity with case management software and electronic health records will streamline service delivery and documentation requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams, contributing to holistic client care.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $60,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, we offer an attractive compensation package that includes:

  • Comprehensive health insurance covering medical, dental, and vision needs.
  • Retirement savings plans with employer matching to help you secure your financial future.
  • Generous paid time off policy, encompassing vacation days, personal time, and holidays, supporting a healthy work-life balance.
  • Opportunities for continuing education and skill development, ensuring you remain at the forefront of social work practices.
  • A competitive sign-on bonus to welcome you to our team.
