Location: Nashville, Tennessee
 
Employment Type: Full-time, in-person, 12-month network-based role for the 2026-2027 school year.
 
Salary: The salary range for this role is $47,668-$53,754 and placement is based on prior comparable professional experience.
 
About the Role:
The Recruitment Coordinator partners closely with the Recruitment Manager and reports directly to the Managing Director of Talent to execute a high-impact recruitment strategy that attracts exceptional instructional and leadership talent to Valor. This role plays a critical part in ensuring we identify, engage, and support strong candidates throughout the hiring process while creating an outstanding candidate experience.
 
The Recruitment Coordinator will support the full recruitment lifecycle, from managing job postings and sourcing candidates to reviewing applications, conducting initial screenings, coordinating interviews, and maintaining accurate recruitment data. This person is both a relationship-builder and an operationally strong teammate - someone who can communicate Valor’s mission and culture with authenticity while also managing the details that keep a high-performing recruitment engine running smoothly.
 
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and highly professional, with the ability to represent Valor’s mission, culture, and opportunities with authenticity and confidence. They are energized by working in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift and strong follow-through matters. Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
 
Staff Recruitment
  • Partner with the Managing Director of Talent to design, implement, and continuously improve recruitment strategies that attract exceptional instructional and leadership talent.
  • Evaluate candidate applications, including resumes, cover letters, and screening responses, using defined selection criteria to identify strong candidates. 
  • Conduct initial phone interviews and candidate screenings in partnership with the Recruitment Manager, who will coach the Recruitment Coordinator.
  • Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines through proactive sourcing, networking, referrals, career fairs, and other recruitment channels, while supporting the planning and execution of in-house recruitment events that strengthen candidate engagement and expand Valor’s presence within the community.
  • Own and optimize job postings across recruitment platforms, social media, and other sourcing channels. Partner with the Recruitment Manager to create engaging social media content and messaging that showcases Valor and attracts exceptional talent. 
  • Partner with the Recruitment Manager to coordinate interview processes and ensure a seamless, high-quality candidate experience.
  • Serve as an ambassador for Valor by communicating the organization's mission, culture, and employee value proposition to prospective candidates.
Talent Operations & Data Management
  • Maintain accurate recruitment data within applicant tracking and HR systems to ensure data integrity and reporting accuracy.
  • Monitor key recruitment metrics, including pipeline health, source effectiveness, conversion rates, time-to-fill, and candidate yield, to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop regular reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights into recruitment progress, hiring outcomes, and Talent Team goals.
  • Use recruitment data to recommend process improvements, optimize sourcing strategies, and increase hiring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support the continuous improvement of Talent Team systems, workflows, and documentation through data analysis and operational excellence.
Team Engagement & Organizational Responsibilities
  • Participate in Talent Team meetings, coaching meetings, professional development, and retreats, including occasional travel or overnight stays away from home.
  • Engage fully in team-building opportunities and organizational initiatives that strengthen collaboration, alignment, and effectiveness across the Talent Team.
  • Support additional Talent Team and organizational priorities as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to Valor’s mission.
  • Participate in assigned network-based duties as part of being a member of the Valor community, contributing to a positive school culture and gaining firsthand experience with the communities we serve. 
  • Maintain flexibility and strong communication while balancing recruitment priorities with network-based commitments.
Critical Experience & Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; recent college graduates are encouraged to apply. Valor alumni are especially encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in a customer-facing, service-oriented, administrative, operations, or people-focused role preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required.
