Job Description:

The Oregon State Police in Salem, Oregon is hiring for one (1) Full-Time, Permanent Records Management Supervisor 1 - Set Aside Unit position. This is an in-office position without the opportunity for a hybrid or remote work schedule.

Summary of Job Duties:

In this position, you will supervise staff and daily operations of the Set Aside team. This position includes the intake, coordination, and processing of set aside motion packets, granted set aside orders, and other orders issued from the courts. You will also coordinate the review and maintenance of criminal history records to ensure accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements. You will coordinate efforts to enhance efficiency of the transfer and delivery of documents between the courts, prosecutors, and the Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) Division.

Additionally, you will be responsible for managing communications and dissemination of information with other sections of CJIS Division. You will also be responsible for monitoring, reviewing, and providing feedback on the performance of supervised staff. You will participate in the recruitment, hiring, and training processes of new staff and assist in the development and updating of the unit's processes and goals.

Minimum Qualifications/Eligibility Requirements:

Three years of lead work, supervision, or progressive related experience;

OR

a Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills with a variety of audiences

  • Work experience in a public safety organization

  • Experience with time management, organization, and meeting deadlines

  • Proven leadership experience to include daily motivation, team culture, and consistent staff feedback & goal planning
