How to become a records manager?

Career: Records Manager

To become a records manager, you need a bachelor’s degree in library science, computer science, business administration, or a related field. Many employers also prefer candidates with a master’s degree in business administration or records management. Without a postgraduate degree, start your career with an entry-level position in information and record management roles and work hard to earn promotions. Become a Certified Records Manager (CRM) by passing the necessary exams from the Institute of Certified Records Managers (ICRM) or the U.S. National Archives and Records Administration to make you a more valuable candidate.
