Job description

We are TekPro Support Services, LLC (TSS) a professional solutions contracting and consulting firm supporting several military installations and federal agencies across the nation.
TSS is seeking Medical Records Technicians to support the Vermont Army National Guard's Non-Clinical Case Management program in Camp Johnson, VT. Medical Records Technicians provide critical records management and administrative support, ensuring that medical documentation is accurate, complete, and properly maintained to support case management operations and readiness reporting.
What You'll Do:
Records Management & Documentation
• Maintain and manage medical records in accordance with AR 40-66 and contract requirements
• Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and audit-ready
• Scan, upload, index, and file medical records into MEDCHART and related systems
• Maintain both electronic and hard copy records as required
Data Entry & System Support
• Enter and update case information in Government-provided systems
• Upload medical documents into Health Readiness Record (HRR) systems
• Verify and validate uploaded documentation for completeness and accuracy
• Support timely updates to ensure compliance with performance timelines
Case Management Support
• Provide administrative and documentation support to RN Case Managers
• Assist in preparing case files for review, MEB/PEB boards, and readiness events
• Track missing or incomplete documentation and follow up as needed
Operational & Surge Support
• Support Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP) and mobilization events
• Assist during high-volume workload periods and surge operations
Quality & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Privacy Act, and DoD data protection requirements
• Support quality control processes by maintaining standardized documentation practices
• Assist with audits, inspections, and record verification activities
Compliance, Security & Training
• Maintain eligibility for CAC issuance and Tier 1 background investigation
• Complete required security and compliance training (AT Level I, iWATCH, OPSEC, IA Training, ATCTS)
• Protect all PII/PHI in accordance with Federal and DoD requirements
What You Bring:
Must Haves
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in medical records management or medical administration
• U.S. Citizenship
• Ability to obtain a Tier 1 background investigation and CAC
• Ability to meet installation access and training requirements
Nice to Haves
• Experience in military or government medical environments
• Familiarity with MEDCHART, MEDPROS, AHLTA, or MHS GENESIS
• Experience supporting documentation audits or quality control processes
Work Environment
• Primary duty location: Green Mountain Armory, Camp Johnson, Colchester, VT
• Standard schedule: Monday-Friday, 0730-1630
• Required support for weekend and mobilization readiness events
