Summary:
The Receptionist Scheduler is responsible to perform a wide variety of duties to include kindly greeting patients, scheduling and coordinating patient procedures for Radiology according to department protocols while ensuring an environment which promotes a positive patient experience.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Computer skills required. Associates Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced computer skills preferred.
Experience:
  • Two (2) years- experience in a hospital or health care related field.
  • Greater than two (2) years- experience in a hospital or health care related field, preferably radiology.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to make independent decisions within his/her area of responsibility.
  • Good verbal skills in the English language required daily.
  • Excellent telephone skills required.
  • Ability to learn use of all equipment necessary to perform job.
  • Excellent PC skills including data entry required.
  • Ability to adapt in fast paced, stressful environment.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology to include diagnosis/CPT codes.
  • Accurate grammar, spelling and punctuation skills necessary.
  • Work is performed in accordance with instruction and procedures, but requires the ability to recognize problem situations and refer them to the appropriate staff member.
