Our reception team are positioned in the heart of our stunning ground floor lobby and are the focal point for guests arriving to the club. Surrounded by our ever-changing art collection and decorative Byzantine style and innovative concrete mosaics, it's a great place to work and welcome our guests. As a Member Host you'll be part of a team of smiling faces that start every guests' visit with the outstanding hospitality that The Ned is known for.

The Ned and Ned's Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work and have a good time. Seven years after launching The Ned London in 2017, we are proud to be opening a Ned's Club in the US capital, our fourth and newest location.

Ned's Club Washington DC is a members' club set over three floors of a neoclassical style building situated within President's Park at 734 15th Street NW. The Riggs Building sits opposite the US Treasury and was constructed in 1930. The 12-storey building is located around the corner from the White House and sits above the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream, formerly the historic Riggs Bank Corcoran branch.

The Club has a Rooftop Terrace and Loft Restaurant with views overlooking the White House, US Treasury and Washington Monument, plus a Founder's Dining Room, The Library, Drawing Room, Gallery and Conservatory. On level nine, there is a self-contained floor of private event spaces.

Reporting into the Club Reception Manager, and as part of the daily reception operation, you will:

  • Lead the day-to-day arrival and departure experience, offering a warm Ned's welcome on arrival and a thoughtful farewell on departure, while ensuring every check-in is seamless, efficient, and effortlessly polished for our members and guests
  • Champion outstanding hospitality by resolving concerns with grace, answering questions confidently, and delivering consistently memorable experiences
  • Collaborate closely with Membership, including the Founders Concierge, as well as Security, and Food & Beverage teams to ensure a seamless, personalized journey throughout the Club
  • Communicate VIP arrivals and pertinent member and guest information to relevant teams, anticipating needs before they arise
  • Build meaningful rapport with members and guests by learning their preferences and personalizing their experience over time
  • Enforce Club policies with confidence, discretion, and professionalism
  • Assist with coat check and the secure storage of members' and guests' belongings
  • Answer incoming calls promptly, providing accurate and helpful information
  • Respond to member queries via case log with exceptional attention to detail and timeliness
  • Support additional duties as assigned by the Club Reception Manager or Head of Membership
  • Activate and issue membership cards and preparing induction bags for new members
  • Manage the restaurant reservations when required
  • Monitor the Founder's mobile phone in the absence of the Founder's Concierge team
  • Create and handle Founder and VIP guest passes with discretion
  • Maintain accurate Lost & Found and Bag Check trackers
  • Conduct regular walkthroughs of the Club spaces, including both lobbies, ensuring Ned's standards are impeccably upheld - furniture thoughtfully arranged, The Architect neatly presented and well stocked, and all areas maintained in a polished, welcoming condition
  • Monitor the reception environment closely and promptly report any maintenance or housekeeping needs in Knowcross to ensure swift resolution.
  • Manage Attendium check-ins during private events
  • Attend daily line-ups when requested and reporting key information back to the team
  • Assist with additional shift coverage when needed due to call-outs or peak periods
  • Open availability to include weekends and shifts from 11am to 9pm
