Job Schedule: Monday - Friday, with the possibility of a weekend shift as needed

Hackley Community Care is seeking a reliable, adaptable, and customer-focused Clerical Float to join our team. Under the supervision of the Patient Access Manager and/or Site Manager, this role provides flexible administrative support across multiple departments and locations to ensure smooth daily operations.

Position Summary:
The Clerical Float is a versatile team member who supports a variety of administrative functions, including medical, dental, and school reception; mail courier services; switchboard operations; medical records; and patient coordination. This role requires flexibility, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Job Responsibilities:
  1. Reception (Medical, Dental, School-Based Health):
  2. Greet and assist patients in a professional and welcoming manner
  3. Schedule appointments and manage calendars
  4. Collect and update patient demographic and insurance information
  5. Verify insurance and collect copays and patient balances
  6. Manage patient check-in and check-out processes

Mail Courier:
  • Distribute internal and external mail and packages between locations
  • Switchboard:
  • Operate the main phone line, directing calls and assisting with inquiries
  • Manage incoming faxes and general communications

Medical Records:
  • Maintain and organize patient records
  • Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with regulations

Patient Coordination:
  • Assist new patients with registration and onboarding
  • Provide information and support to ensure access to services

Job Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent required
  2. One year of medical office or medical records experience or training within the past five years preferred
