We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Quotation Specialist to support our Sales Engineering team and help deliver an exceptional experience for the team's internal and external customers by preparing quotes of all types, generally for smaller-quantity opportunities. Responsibilities include reviewing requests, developing custom product request forms as needed, and quoting products, including freight estimates. Once fully trained, this position will act as a conduit between Labconco Sales Representatives and internal resources to provide complete and accurate quotations that help close sales. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys managing multiple priorities, and takes pride in building strong relationships while coordinating projects from quotation through installation.

The Quotation Specialist will serve as a key liaison between external dealers and internal teams, ensuring accurate quotes, efficient processes, and successful deliveries. This position offers the opportunity to combine project coordination, customer service, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration in support of high-quality solutions and outstanding customer experiences.


Requirements

The Quotation Specialist is responsible for preparing quotes for Labconco products and dealers of all types, generally for smaller-quantity opportunities. Responsibilities include reviewing requests, developing custom product request forms as needed, and quoting products, including freight estimates. Once fully trained, this position will act as a conduit between Labconco Sales Representatives and internal resources to provide complete and accurate quotations that help close sales.ย 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review quotation requirements to ensure the correct items are selected and the package is complete, including required accessories, etc.
  • Work with Product Managers/Application Specialists for assistance with product selection and/or quotation notes as needed
  • Work with Customs Engineering and other internal resources if customization of products is requested or needed
  • Generate custom product request forms as needed
  • Maintain familiarity with dealers of all types to ensure quotes fit their specific needs
  • Maintain familiarity with all Labconco product lines and with Labconco resources to find product information to ensure complete and correct quotations
  • Generate freight quotes for dealers who require it (small package, LTL, truckload, etc.)
  • Work with the Sales Engineering Manager and Sales Management on pricing to best position Labconco to win specific opportunities
  • Maintain a basic understanding of our dealers, our products, and Labconco's position in the market to think purposefully about our best strategy to win individual opportunities
  • Develop quotations, including clearly written technical notes about what is included and, if relevant, what is excluded. Alternatively, provide Sales Representatives with information for them to prepare quotations themselves.
  • Work with the Submittal/BIM Coordinator, as appropriate, to provide submittal drawings and other documentation before the sale when doing so will help secure the purchase
  • Log emails and calls and prepare quotes in Salesforce to ensure the success of our CRM across the board
  • Send quotations directly to dealers or to Sales Representatives, as directedย 


Work Schedule

Normal working hours are typically an 8 hour work day within the operating hours of 7:30am - 6:00pm Monday - Friday; unless otherwise discussed and/or established by the manager or seasonal schedule changes. From time to time additional hours may be required, as needed. This position is expected to work onsite.


Education and Experience

ย Associate degree in a relevant discipline; proven experience as a quotation coordinator/specialist, estimator, project coordinator/manager, or similar position; or a minimum of two years of related education and/or experience.ย

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize projects.
  • Ability to travel occasionally as needed. Some travel may require valid driver's license. ย
