Position Description

At a Glance

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Quotation Specialist to join the Lighting Division Finelite Team in Union City, CA. The Quotations Specialist plays a key role in managing complex lighting projects from the specification or quotation stage through post-shipment support. This position will collaborate closely with a variety of internal and external teams including outside sales, engineering and customers. The Quotations Specialist will support quotation activity, pricing strategy and database management. The ideal candidate will be extremely well organized, task oriented and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

What Will You Do?

    Review project specifications, drawings, bill of material and RFQs to prepare an accurate quotation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering to generate a bill of materials that aligns to the customer expectations.
  • Generate competitive crossovers and verify their accuracy.
  • Perform take-offs from plans.
  • Ensure that quotations are delivered on time and meet customer's deadlines.
  • Answer questions for customers regarding product lines, bill of materials, pricing, control integration, code requirements, and best practices for managing complex projects.
  • Process orders including revisions required by redlined submittal drawings.
  • Provide backup support as needed.
  • Provide project specific collateral as requested from Agency Representatives.
  • Perform other similar and related duties as required.
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
  • 3 years experience in quotations role, customer or sales support or related field.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and time management skills.
  • Extremely detail oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial lighting products.
  • The ability to read building plans and translate electrical, functional, and application specific details into shop drawings.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word); experience with ERP or CRM systems.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a strong customer orientation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in close collaboration with team members.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Salary Range: $70,304 - $85,000/Annually
