Job Title: Quotation Specialist

Job Description:

At Trystar, our team members are our most important asset, and this Quotation Specialist position plays a critical role in achieving our strategic objectives.

As a Quotation Specialist, you'll be the go-to expert, consulting with customers, sales, and manufacturing representatives on a wide range of electrical equipment. This includes everything from emergency electrical docking stations, quality power equipment to AC and DC rectifiers, inverters and lighting inverters.

Reporting to the Quote Specialist Supervisor, you'll have the exciting opportunity to support a diverse range of products across multiple manufacturing sites. This will allow you to deepen your knowledge of the industrial electrical market significantly. Your success in this role hinges on daily interaction with our sales team, customers, and manufacturing representatives to deliver timely and exceptional customer service.

In this role you will get to:
  • Maintain an expert level of product knowledge and application support to assist in quotation for new installations
  • Review specifications and electrical drawings to determine product type and option requirements
  • Respond to Request for Quotes and Opportunity Leads through CRM
  • Listen, understand, and convey customer requirements.
  • Maintain professional business relationships with customers, field sales and manufacturing representatives.
  • Identify customer's needs and sales opportunities to help future growth
  • Coordinate quotes, proposal submittals and assist with order entry efforts with the engineering design and manufacturing teams daily.
  • Provide customer feedback, product improvement suggestions, and prioritize the ongoing new product development list based on actual customer opportunities.
  • Identify and develop process improvements.
Job Requirements:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Technical College Degree with 3 years of customer service experience.
  • Experience in Sales or Customer Experience type role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong ability to effectively learn technical products, services and solutions and readily apply new knowledge
  • Ability to use digital tools to capture and respond to customer requests
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365

Additional Qualifications

  • Familiar with EPR and CRM tools (Epicor and Salesforce)
  • Ability to read and understand electrical power and control drawings / diagrams
  • Experience in Switchboard, UPS or Rectifier manufacturing
  • Engineering Degree or Level 3 Technical/Vocational
  • Highly motivated and passionate
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • High comfort level establishing and growing relationships with customers and internal partners
  • Continuous improvement mindset
