Director of Purchasing & Inventory Control
Location: Lewisberry PA
Employment Type: Full-Time - On Site
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Purchasing & Inventory Control to lead and oversee all purchasing, warehouse, and inventory operations. This role requires a strong leader with extensive industry knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and cost control across all functions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and oversee all purchasing, warehouse, and inventory control activities
  • Ensure timely and accurate procurement of materials for installations and services
  • Recruit, hire, train, mentor, and manage Purchasing and Inventory Control staff
  • Support Production in staffing, training, and managing warehouse personnel
  • Develop and implement procurement policies and operational procedures
  • Monitor and adjust warehouse inventory levels based on demand and inventory turns
  • Maintain inventory accuracy of at least 95% across all locations
  • Oversee physical inventory processes, including annual company-wide counts
  • Negotiate vendor pricing and establish blanket purchase orders
  • Ensure compliance with payroll submission processes and company policies
  • Maintain accurate inventory tracking through cycle counts and reporting
  • Ensure proper documentation and procedural compliance in all warehouse activities
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support business operations
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field - or equivalent experience
  • Minimum age of 21
