Position Summary

Suhner USA is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Supply Chain Manager to lead sourcing, procurement, inventory management, and warehouse operations. This role is responsible for ensuring the uninterrupted flow of materials required to support manufacturing while driving cost savings, supplier performance, inventory optimization, and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have strong sourcing and supplier management experience, combined with a solid understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control within a manufacturing environment.


Supply Chain Leadership

  • Develop and execute supply chain strategies that support company objectives for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead purchasing, inventory management, logistics, and material planning activities to ensure uninterrupted support of manufacturing operations and customer requirements.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and drive accountability and operational excellence across the supply chain organization.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to leadership regarding inventory investment, capacity planning, supply constraints, and operational priorities.


Procurement & Supplier Management

  • Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships to achieve quality, delivery, service, innovation, and cost objectives.
  • Lead supplier selection, contract negotiations, performance management, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve supply issues, improve performance, and support business growth.

Continuous Improvement & Compliance

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, inventory performance, supplier reliability, and overall supply chain effectiveness.
  • Identify and mitigate risks affecting supply chain performance, operational continuity, customer service, and business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, quality standards, and workplace safety expectations.
  • Prepare and communicate operational metrics, supplier performance, inventory analysis, and improvement plans to leadership.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5–10 years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, sourcing, logistics, inventory management, or operations leadership within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading purchasing, warehouse, inventory, and logistics.
  • Experience negotiating supplier contracts and developing strategic supplier partnerships.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP or a comparable manufacturing ERP platform.
  • APICS/ASCM (CPIM or CSCP), CPSM, Lean, or Six Sigma certifications are preferred.


Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of procurement, inventory management, logistics, warehouse operations, demand planning, and supply chain best practices.
  • Experience leading Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and demand forecasting preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Proficiency using ERP systems to support purchasing, inventory, planning, forecasting, and reporting functions.
