Job description

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

AHF Products has a job opportunity for a Procurement Specialist to be located at our plant in Cartersville, GA. We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Procurement Specialist to support our manufacturing operations by sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing raw materials, equipment, and services. This role is critical in ensuring cost-effective and timely procurement of quality materials including raw materials, packaging materials, and MRO necessary for production. This position will report to the site Procurement Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, machinery, and services aligned with production needs and quality standards.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to optimize cost savings and supply reliability.
  • Issue purchase orders and manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery and through invoice closure.
  • Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong relationships to ensure timely fulfillment and resolve any delivery or quality issues.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and logistics teams to forecast demand and maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities, process improvements, and supply chain efficiencies.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to procurement and vendor contracts.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other essential procurement data.
  • Development and delivery of the right standard reports to measure Spend, PPV, ADP across all Procurement areas – Raw Materials, Indirect Corporate, Capital, Energy, MRO Goods, MRO Services, and Sourced Products.
  • Development and delivery of ad-hoc analysis as needed to support Procurement leadership.
  • Support large scale RFP activities by working closely with the procurement manager(s) at a local as well as corporate level.
  • Manages the competitive bidding process. Requests quotations/bids, conducts negotiations and issues purchase orders for assigned categories.
  • Maintain and update Procurement project tracker database.
  • Coordinate the drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of contracts, including leasing agreements, equipment contracts, and service agreements ensuring compliance with company policies and legal standards at both a local and corporate level.
  • Other procurement related duties as needed by procurement team leader.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of procurement or logistics experience in a manufacturing environment; resilient or wood flooring industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of materials commonly used in manufacturing production.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
  • Excellent technical knowledge and aptitude in Office Suite and ERP systems (e.g.,M3, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Must be able to successfully complete and pass a background check, employment verification and drug screening.
  • Positive and Verifiable Work History.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with global sourcing and import/export logistics.
  • Understanding of inventory management principles and lean manufacturing.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and production requirements.
