Job description

Position Summary
Reports to Purchasing Manager. The Purchasing Clerk is responsible for maintaining the integrity of all centralized purchasing transactions and activities, which includes prompt order execution and materials handling including shipment receiving and internal delivery. In the event that there is a staffing shortage in the Environment of Care Department, this individual will be called upon to provide certain janitorial services necessary to maintain the internal and external condition of Lawndale Christian Health Center in excellent condition.

Qualifications

1. Some computer skills required
2. Experience and demonstrated ability for working in a multi-cultural setting
3. Ability to organize, solve problems and multi task
4. Ability to work under stress in a high-pressure atmosphere
5. Ability to strongly embrace and personify the mission of Lawndale Christian Health Center.
6. Expected to utilize spare time in work related activities which contribute to the clinic's needs.
7. Ability to lift, push or pull a minimum of 60 lbs
8. Ability to climb a 6' ladder and operate basic hand tools or power equivalents as applicable.
9. The ability to interact with fellow employees in a way that promotes a harmonious and cooperative working environment
10. In good physical condition with the ability to stand, bend 85% of the time
11. Ability to withstand extremes in temperature
12. Ability to work with a "safety first" mind-set
13. Ability to prioritize work appropriately.
