Job description

Job Title: Raw Materials Clerk
Department: Raw Material
Reports To: Purchasing/Raw Material Manager
Shift/Schedule: Days
Job Purpose
This position receives, stores and distributes material to fill stock and customer work orders in a timely fashion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
**Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Receive incoming UPS/FedEx/Trucking deliveries.
  • Inspect incoming material, receive material to P.O.’s, consignment, and inventory. Issue material to work orders and stock orders.
  • Complete all electronic and hard copy documentation required by each order. This would include bar code scanning and completing paperwork before moving product to the next operation.
  • Verify inventory counts.
  • Follow standard procedures and work instructions.
  • Fill out material certifications when required by customers.
  • Maintain documentation of professional achievements and growth within provided resources to actively participate in our progressive review process with supervisor
  • Maintain 5S and a neat and clean work area

  • Other relevant tasks as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications/Education/Skills
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written.
  • Dedicated to be at work and on-time (attendance).

  • Works as a team player, cooperative, and adaptable to changes; builds positive relationships.
Equipment Used
  • Various measuring tools including: calipers, micrometers, gage blocks, microscope and scales. Use of power lift and fork truck.
Working Conditions
  • Working with carbide in various forms. Standing for long periods of time.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be comfortable working with hands and be able to lift 50lbs. Must be able to stand, reach, do repetitive tasks, reach and bend for the duration of the day.
