We are looking for an experienced Proposal Manager to lead the development of competitive and sole-source proposals for government, commercial, and international customers within the aerospace and defense industry.

In this role, you will manage the entire proposal lifecycle, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, compliant proposals while meeting aggressive deadlines. This position requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills, along with the ability to manage multiple proposal efforts simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the proposal process from opportunity through final submission.
  • Analyze RFPs and customer requirements to develop compliant proposal strategies and response structures.
  • Create and manage proposal schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate and lead proposal kickoff meetings, status meetings, and color team reviews.
  • Manage cross-functional teams including engineering, sales, pricing, program management, technical sales, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure proposals are compliant, persuasive, and submitted on time.
  • Track proposal status, resolve issues, and manage production support throughout the proposal lifecycle.
  • Develop compliance matrices, outlines, and proposal documentation.
  • Drive proposal process improvements and report on proposal metrics.
  • Collaborate closely with business development and sales teams to support winning capture strategies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in proposal management, business development, or business execution.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple proposals and competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Aerospace industry experience preferred.
  • Defense and Space industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience responding to U.S. Government solicitations and RFPs.

  • Experience coordinating virtual and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Knowledge of government contracting regulations and proposal best practices.
  • APMP and/or PMP certification preferred.
