Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Management Intern will support the Enterprise Management Office (EMO) in driving execution discipline, visibility, and consistency across enterprise initiatives. This role focuses on supporting governance, planning, tracking, and reporting for cross-functional projects, system implementations, integrations, and transformation efforts.
The intern will work closely with EMO leadership, project managers, and business stakeholders to maintain project controls, support delivery cadence, and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities
PMO & Governance Support
  • Support standard PMO processes including project intake, status reporting, RAID management, and documentation.
  • Maintain project artifacts such as project charters, project plans, schedules, action logs, risk registers, and decision logs.
  • Ensure project documentation is complete, current, and aligned to EMO standards.

Execution & Cadence Management
  • Assist with coordinating project meetings, weekly check-ins, and stakeholder forums.
  • Prepare agendas, capture notes, track actions, and follow up on commitments.
  • Monitor task progress, dependencies, and milestones across active initiatives.

Reporting & Visibility
  • Update and manage project tracking tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Support development of leadership-ready dashboards and status summaries.
  • Assist with consolidating project updates for executive and portfolio reporting.

Delivery & Change Support
  • Help document business requirements, workflows, and process changes.
  • Support testing coordination, tracking, and readiness activities
  • Assist with change readiness activities including communications and adoption support

  • Ability to structure information clearly for leadership consumption
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify risks, gaps, and follow-ups

  • Comfortable working with senior leaders, vendors, and cross-functional teams

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program (minimum Junior year) in:
    • Project Management
    • Information Systems / Information Technology
    • Business Administration
    • Operations Management or a related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Strong interest in project delivery, governance, and technology transformation
  • Familiarity with PMO concepts, methodologies, or delivery frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid)

BONUS POINTS (not required, but helpful):
  • Experience using Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira, or similar project tracking tools
  • Exposure to IT systems, integrations, or enterprise platforms
  • Coursework toward CAPM, PMP, or related project management certifications
