Job title - Primavera Omega P6 consultant

Roles & Responsibilities
The Oracle Primavera P6 EPPM Lead is responsible for leading enterprise project controls and scheduling solutions, owning end-to-end functional design, implementation, and delivery of Primavera P6 EPPM platforms. This role combines deep functional expertise, technical oversight, and people leadership, serving as the primary bridge between business stakeholders, customers, and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Functional Leadership & Solution Ownership
• Own the overall functional vision, design, and deployment of Oracle Primavera P6 EPPM solutions.
• Lead core implementation of Primavera P6 EPPM, including Primavera Web, P6 Professional, Team Member, and Web Services.
• Design and govern enterprise project control processes including:
o Project scheduling and forecasting
o Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis
o Risk and delay impact analysis
o Resource coordination and optimization
• Ensure best-practice adoption of project management lifecycle, scheduling standards, and governance frameworks.
2. End-to-End Delivery Accountability
• Take full accountability for delivery outcomes, including scope, timelines, quality, and functional accuracy.
• Drive planning, execution, and tracking of large-scale project controls implementations.
• Identify delivery risks, system gaps, and data dependencies, and lead mitigation to closure.
• Act as the functional escalation point for complex scheduling, reporting, and integration issues.
3. Managerial & Team Leadership Responsibilities
• Lead and manage a team of Primavera functional consultants, schedulers, and technical specialists.
• Oversee:
o Work allocation, prioritization, and delivery readiness
o Quality reviews of schedules, reports, and system configurations
o Team capability building and functional mentoring
• Conduct ongoing coaching and performance support to strengthen Primavera and project controls competency.
• Establish and enforce enterprise standards for scheduling, reporting, and project controls.
4. Project Controls, Reporting & Governance
• Manage and maintain enterprise project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Develop detailed timelines, monitor execution progress, and provide accurate forecasts of delays and risks.
• Lead critical path analysis, what if scenarios, and v ariance analysis.
• Own governance of:
o User access management and admin preferences
o Import/export of schedules and reports
o BI Publisher and Primavera Analytics reporting
• Ensure reporting accuracy for executive and stakeholder consumption.
5. Integration, Infrastructure & Platform Management
• Provide hands-on leadership for:
o Installation, upgrades, health checks, and cloud migration of Primavera applications (P6 EPPM, Unifier, Analytics).
• Oversee integration with enterprise systems using:
o Primavera Web Services, APIs, SOAP/REST integrations
• Guide platform configuration and administration across:
o Oracle Database, MS SQL
o WebLogic, Oracle HTTP Server, Tomcat
o OBIEE, Oracle WebCenter, AutoVue
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and cloud teams to ensure platform stability and compliance.
6. Stakeholder & Customer Engagement
• Act as the primary functional interface between customers, business users, and technical teams.
• Lead requirements discovery workshops and translate business needs into implementable EPPM solutions.
• Validate that metrics, controls, and reports align with business and cost management objectives.
• Drive continuous process improvement by identifying gaps and optimization opportunities.

• Lead and manage enterprise scale Primavera P6 EPPM teams, owning end to end delivery of project scheduling, controls, and reporting solutions.
• Provide governance and leadership for project scheduling, critical path analysis, risk assessment, and delay forecasting across large project portfolios.
