Industrial Project Controls Specialist (Scheduler/EVM)
Downingtown, PA or Birmingham, AL based (Fully on Site)
Up to 50% Travel to National Project Sites

JGM is hiring an experienced Project Controls Specialist with deep Primavera Oracle Cloud expertise and strong project controls experience (cost, EVM, and reporting) to support complex industrial construction and infrastructure projects across the United States.


This role goes beyond traditional scheduling — focusing on integrated project controls, data-driven reporting, forecasting, and field-aligned execution support.


At JGM, we self-perform complex industrial construction projects across the country with a reputation for safety, speed, and execution. This is an opportunity to help build and scale a formal Project Controls function within a fast-growing industrial contractor.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the launch and administration of Primavera Oracle Cloud Scheduling across the organization
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze baseline and update schedules in Primavera Oracle Cloud
  • Perform schedule development, progressing, and variance analysis across multiple projects
  • Support Earned Value Management (EVM), cost tracking, and performance measurement
  • Analyze productivity trends, quantities, and labor data to improve forecasting accuracy
  • Perform schedule risk analysis and develop mitigation and recovery strategies
  • Conduct site visits and walk-downs to validate progress and percent complete
  • Integrate procurement, permitting, outage planning, and subcontractor schedules into master schedules
  • Generate look-ahead schedules and support near-term work planning
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and executive reporting tools
  • Collaborate with field teams, utilities, and stakeholders to optimize sequencing and execution
  • Support preconstruction scheduling, bid schedules, and contract time determinations (CTDs)
  • Maintain portfolio-level roll-up schedules and reporting across multiple projects
  • Develop and maintain manpower forecasting for craft, supervision, management, safety, and quality personnel
  • Develop and maintain integrated fabrication shop schedules to monitor manpower capacity and workload forecasting
  • Work closely with Finance supporting monthly cost-to-complete projections based on EVM, cost tracking, and performance measurement
  • Mentor and train Project Managers and Superintendents on Earned Value Management and the integration of cost, schedule, and scope


Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in project controls, scheduling, or construction planning
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera Oracle Cloud
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM), cost controls, and forecasting
  • Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) and construction sequencing
  • Experience supporting large-scale EPC, infrastructure, or industrial projects
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills (Excel required; Power BI preferred)
  • Willingness to travel nationally up to 50%


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in power, utilities, data centers, transportation, or telecom infrastructure
  • Experience with EcoSys, Microsoft Project, or similar project controls tools
  • Familiarity with GIS data, permitting workflows, and outage coordination
  • Experience working in both field and corporate project controls environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, or related field
