Job description

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
  • Scheduling & System Accuracy:Analyze component availability and value stream workload to assign accurate delivery dates for customized products, optimize production schedules, and monitor progress.
  • Communication & Collaboration:Work cross functionally with buyers, operations and planning to resolve issues, handle customer inquiries, and provide input to sales and operations planning. Solicit feedback, initiate corrective action and coordinate resolution of issues. Keep operations and management informed of critical situations. Lead and provide daily direction and critical prioritization with operations, program management, procurement, customer service, engineering, SIOP, and other partners in alignment with published production plan.
  • Inventory & Order Management:Maintain accurate records, review forecasts, and process all order changes and cancellations. Identify excess and obsolete inventory, determine root cause and disposition, and take corrective action.
  • Part Planning:Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and minimize human involvement. Collaborate with buyers and partner plants on component availability/lead time and production planning team to establish production schedules and optimal production sequencing to an executable plan. Support and take action to drive new product implementation to ensure successful and on-time program launches.
  • Problem Solving:Identify and resolve capacity/load issues, material constraints, address equipment/quality problems, and initiate corrective action. Drive improvements in promise date accuracy for orders across multiple value streams. Develop scenarios and contingency plans to production schedules in the event of issues preventing schedule execution. Root cause and action plan daily and weekly production attainment misses for future improvements.
YOU HAVE:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or related field preferred. Combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • 2+ years experience in production planning, scheduling, materials, or supply.
  • Experience in JDE ERP or other ERP systems is a plus.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Analytical and problem solving abilities.
  • Experience with conflict resolution and project management.
  • CPIM certification through ASCM preferred.

Pay Transparency
nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range:

$76,000.00 - $141,100.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
