Description
SAIC is seeking a Program/Financial Analyst to provide on-site project and financial management support at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Middletown, RI.
JOB DUTIES:
The individual will be required to perform various financial management functions as it relates to both Programmatic execution as well as Department level execution. The individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of Programmatic financial management including, but not limited to: funding document acceptance, cost tracking and monitoring, financial forecasting, budget planning and ad-hoc Department Level financial requirements utilizing various computer systems. In addition, the individual may attend meetings, track action items and interface with Government customers on a regular basis. The individual will require a government clearance and strong computer skills. Other duties may include developing miscellaneous reports, preparing assorted presentations, and assisting with the management and tracking of other project data, as required.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:
  • Bachelors and three (3) years of financial experience.
  • MS Office proficiency with strong MS Excel knowledge.
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks across multiple projects.
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in business (or related field)
  • DoD Financial Experience, preferably NAVY Finance
  • Navy ERP Experience
  • Project Management Experience
  • Understanding of financial/technical documentation
  • Must be able to operate independently, but also in a team environment and share information with others.
  • Must show initiative and have the ability to work on multiple tasks with changing deadlines and priorities in an environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as strong interpersonal skills, professional demeanor, and flexibility are required; the ability to establish a solid working relationship with customers, technical staff, managers, and peers, and various Government and contractor personnel.
  • Computer Skills are to include proficiency in MS Office Suite with advance skills in Excel.
  • Must be highly motivated, and have excellent problem solving skills.
