Description

Position Overview:

Detroit Defense is seeking an experienced Program Management Analyst to support submarine network programs in a dynamic, fast-paced defense environment. In this role, you will coordinate and facilitate technical program meetings, maintain complex project schedules, and deliver engineering recommendations to senior Department of Defense (DoD) leadership. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of submarine network systems, exceptional organizational skills, and the professionalism to operate at the O-6 level and above.


Key Responsibilities: 

Plan, coordinate, and facilitate technical program meetings and working groups in support of submarine network initiatives.

Develop and maintain complex project schedules in Microsoft Project, including task dependencies, resource assignments, and multi-stakeholder status tracking.

Prepare, manage, and present briefings and technical recommendations to DoD senior leadership (O-6 or higher).

Manage, analyze, and visualize program data using Microsoft Excel, including advanced charts, tables, and formatted reports.

Administer and maintain submarine network systems, ensuring operational integrity and continuity.

Leverage Flank Speed and Microsoft 365 tools to support collaboration, document management, and communications across distributed teams.

Track action items, decisions, and deliverables across multiple stakeholders; proactively communicate status and risks.

Collaborate with engineering, program management, and government counterparts to ensure meeting outcomes align with program objectives.

Requirements

Required Qualifications: 

Five (5) or more years of experience developing, administering, and maintaining submarine networks

Two (2) or more years of experience in Microsoft Project, including: adding and managing resources; creating and maintaining tasks and schedules with multiple predecessor and successor relationships; and updating status across complex, multi-stakeholder projects

Two (2) or more years of experience in Microsoft Excel, including managing and formatting data and creating advanced charts and tables

Demonstrated experience briefing engineering and technical recommendations to DoD senior leadership at the O-6 level or higher

Proficiency with Flank Speed and the Microsoft 365 suite

Active DoD security clearance (level commensurate with program requirements)


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting Navy submarine programs or similar undersea warfare systems.

Familiarity with DoD acquisition lifecycle and program management processes.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials.
