Villanova Initiative for Engaging Women (VIEW), a 10-month college-prep program that consist of a summer residential component, is seeking Residential Counselors for the summer program.
The Residential Program Assistant will serve as the second point of contact for all staff and students.
Applicants will reside on campus for the duration of the program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • The Program Assistant will report directly to the Program Director and assist the Program Director with the flow of the program; to include scheduling, organizing events and facilitating workshops.
  • The Program Assistant will assist as needed to support students in English and/or math, travel with students to and from class, meals, residence halls and chaperone trips.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Rising college junior, recent graduate or graduate student
  • Organization skills required.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Experience working with high school students.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working in a camp (day or overnight) or summer program setting.
  • Skills or trained in programming and administrative experience.
  • Previous experience as a Residential Advisor on college campus.
  • Created/developed programs for college or was a member of an executive board of an organization.

Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:
  • May require walking in various weather conditions.

Special Message to Applicants:
The summer program runs June 16- 29, 2024. This position needs to be available on June 13, 14 & 15 for training and preparation for the summer program. This position will also act as the social media administrator. The person needs to be comfortable navigating social media.
