Job description

Revolution is now hiring for a Production Shift Supervisor position in Shelbyville, TN. This role will be responsible for actively promoting plant safety, quality, and team performance. The ideal candidate has excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills. The successful candidate will be a motivated individual who has strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.

  • Conduct routine inspections of the facility grounds and structures to identify and initiate corrective action(s) for safety and environmental discrepancies and physical and systems discrepancies.
  • Coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure production and product quality meets specifications.
  • Inspect equipment and product to ensure optimum safety, utilization, and quality. Communicate with all employees concerning safety, scheduling, problem-solving, overtime, vacations, and training.
  • Review and support the master scheduling process to meet production needs.
  • Plan process activities and follow established priorities regarding procedures, equipment capabilities, process team performance, and staffing levels.
  • Review, analyze, and act to correct non-conformance in areas of safety, production, policies, and procedures.
  • Lead, coach, and support line process teams to improve quality, increase flexibility and reduce costs.
  • Conduct required team meetings and safety training.
  • Provide feedback to hourly employees on job performance.
  • Promote and implement our Core Values daily.
  • Ability to understand and work well with team members, both in operations & support teams.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Five-year supervisory experience preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and working knowledge of plant equipment and safety.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work weekends and/or shift work with a strong work ethic and employment history.
  • A self-motivated individual that can multi-task and lead others.
