Job description

Position Summary:

The Associate Director, Product Operations – ALZPro, supports the execution, delivery, and continuous improvement of ALZPro, the Alzheimer’s Association’s digital platform and suite of products designed for professionals in the dementia space.This role ensures that ALZPro and its related offerings are reliable, user-centered, strategically aligned, and operationally sound.

Blending strategic product thinking with strong project and operations management, the associate director oversees roadmap execution, intake and prioritization processes, cross-functional coordination, and performance optimization across the ALZPro portfolio. The role is responsible for maintaining a coherent, high-quality user experience while supporting the evolution of both the platform and the products housed within it.

This position partners closely with product leadership, IT, digital strategy, integrated marketing, medical and scientific affairs, and professional education teams.

This is a grant funded position. 

Responsibilities

Product roadmap and delivery

  • Execute and operationalize the ALZPro product roadmap in partnership with product leadership.
  • Translate strategic priorities into clear releases, feature sets and implementation plans.
  • Coordinate discovery, requirements gathering, user story development and acceptance criteria in collaboration with thecommunity and rural health team, scientific and medical affairs, professional education, evaluation, IT, marketing, and operations teams.
  • Lead release planning and go-live readiness to ensure smooth launches and minimal user disruption.
  • Ensure alignment between business priorities, technical execution and user needs.
Project and Release Management
  • Manage complex, cross-functional ALZPro projects (e.g., new learning journeys, data tools, system integrations) using structured project management practices.
  • Build and maintain integrated project plans, timelines, dependencies, risks and budgets; escalate issues and unblock teams to stay on track.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risk and drive issue resolution in collaboration with other teams.
  • Provide clear, decision-ready status updates for business partners and leadership.
  • Support release documentation, including launch materials and internal readiness communications
Operations and process optimization
  • Design, implement and refine ALZPro operating processes (intake, prioritization, governance, release cycles, change management) to increase speed, quality and consistency.
  • Standardize documentation, workflows and templates for ALZPro projects, to enable consistent, repeatable ways of working.
  • Improve operational efficiency, quality and accountability across platform and content teams.
  • Track execution performance and coordinate corrective actions teams.
Data, insights and continuous improvement
  • Track, analyze and report product and operational KPIs, such as adoption, engagement, NPS, task completion, incident trends and cycle times.
  • Partner with analytics and user research to synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights that guide roadmap, UX and process improvements.
  • Support pilot testing, evaluation and post-launch reviews to inform future improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve user experience, workflow efficiency, and product performance.
Stakeholder and vendor coordination
  • Coordinate cross-functional workstreams across IT, digital, content, marketing, field staff, and support teams.
  • Serve as a primary operational point for day-to-day ALZPro product updates and delivery activities.
  • Support coordination with vendors supporting ALZPro platforms, including LMS, CMS, and other digital tools.
  • Facilitate recurring team meetings, including standups, sprint planning, retrospectives and working sessions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 3-5 years of experience in digital product, product operations, or program/project management, preferably in healthcare, health tech, or professional education.
  • Familiarity with dementia care, brain health, or clinical/professional audiences is preferred but not required; high motivation to learn this domain is essential.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Solid project coordination and execution skills, with experience supporting digital products, platforms or programs in cross-functional, virtual-first environments.
  • Working knowledge of basic product, project or operations workflows (e.g., intake, timelines, documentation, release support).
  • Ability to follow established processes and contribute to improving them over time.
  • Comfort working with data, dashboards and basic performance metrics to inform decisions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated reliability, accountability and willingness to learn in a fast-moving environment.
