Job description

Position Overview
The Product Development Assistant for our Accessories verticals will play a key role in supporting the end-to-end development process to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery. This position will focus on assisting the PD/ Production team with tasks including product development tracking, vendor communication, sample management, and quality assurance coordination. This role will collaborate closely with internal teams, such as Design, Print Design and Merchandising, as well as external partners, to ensure that development schedules and objectives are met for the Accessories product lines.
Core Responsibilities
  • Admin Support for Accessories
    • Responsible for all samples in NYC office and shipping out as needed
    • WIP / tracking of all samples in PDR calendar
    • Maintaining sample development timeline for all vendors
    • Partnering with Buying and Merchandising team to maintain Merch trackers pertaining to initial costs, and sample fabrication
  • Sample Management
    • Sample cataloging, photographing and adding to shared design decks and PDR
    • Track all samples
    • Correspond with vendors and cross-functional team members to facilitate sample shipments and sample tracking. (Follow-up with UPS/ FedEx as needed.)
  • Vendor Communication
    • Maintain relationships with daily communication to vendors and suppliers
    • Partner with vendors and suppliers to troubleshoot any issues and ensure smooth development
    • Facilitating communication between material suppliers and manufacturers to ensure all materials are allocated appropriately
  • Aid in Colorcard and Material Selection
    • Maintain the color and material cards and approval swatches in archive for team's reference
  • Fittings/Sample Comments:
    • Participate in technical corrections / fittings for each category, supporting Director in tracking changes, taking notes/ photos for shared decks

Minimum Qualifications
  • 1-2 years experience in Product Development (preferred) or related experience

Compensation
Compensation for the role will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience. The estimated annual compensation for this role is $60,000-$65,000; classified as full-time exempt and not eligible for overtime.
