Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented and proactive Product Development & Merchandising Assistant to support both our business with major retail partners and our independent branded jewelry collections. This role combines product development coordination with merchandising analysis and execution, requiring someone who is equally comfortable working with product specifications, vendor communications, sales data and assortment planning.

The ideal candidate has a passion for jewelry, strong analytical skills, excellent follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Collaborate with design, merchandising and sales teams to ensure product requirements are accurately communicated.

· Oversee the sample development process and maintain WIP to ensure deadlines are met.

· Communicate daily with factory regarding development status, timelines and sample updates.

· Coordinate sample requests, revisions, approvals and tracking with our China factory.

· Follow up on outstanding action items and ensure deadlines are achieved.

· Organize and manage sample reviews and product presentations.

· Help prepare line reviews and customer presentations.

· Assist in the development of new jewelry collections from concept through production.

TEAM-BASED SUPPORT RESPONSIBILITIES

· Maintain an organized sample room of all product samples.

· Assist in preparing line sheets, product presentations and visual merchandising materials.

· Assist in planning and executing the development of visual merchandising assets

· Ensure all product assortment and listings are with accurate and compelling SEO-friendly product descriptions and keywords.

· Review and approve silhouette images for accuracy, ensuring they meet brand standards and are free from Photoshop errors.

· Manage the upload and organization of product images and assets into the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.

· Communicate asset updates and revisions to the e-commerce and marketing teams to ensure consistency across all sales channels.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor’s degree Fashion Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Business or related field.

· Minimum 1-2 years of experience in product development, merchandising or a similar role (jewelry industry preferred).

· Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams and Office is a must.

· Understanding of fine jewelry materials, gemstones and production processes.

· Relocation is accepted but relocation assistance is not offered.

· Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States, Visa sponsorship not available.
