Our analyzers and gas handling equipment are used by electric utilities and high-voltage OEMs across the country โ€” the people who keep the grid running. We're now expanding into gas recovery and evacuation carts as our own hardware line, designed and built by us. That's where you come in.


Role Description

This full-time remote Product Development Engineer role focuses on designing, developing, and improving SF6 equipment used across electrical utility, manufacturing, and industrial applications. The engineer will translate customer requirements into product specifications, generate and refine concepts, and create detailed mechanical designs and documentation. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing research and development activities, conducting design analyses and feasibility studies, and collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to test and validate new products. The role also involves supporting manufacturing processes, resolving product issues, and implementing design revisions based on field feedback and performance data. The Product Development Engineer will work closely with operations, sales, and training teams to ensure products meet safety, regulatory, and quality standards.


Qualifications

  • Strong Analytical Skills to evaluate performance data, perform design calculations, and solve complex engineering problems.
  • Experience in Research and Development (R&D), including prototyping, testing, and iterative product improvement.
  • Mechanical Engineering background with knowledge of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Product Development experience, including lifecycle management from concept through design, testing, and release.
  • Product Design skills, including CAD proficiency and creation of technical drawings and specifications.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Experience with industrial or utility equipment, high-voltage systems, or gas handling technologies is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with relevant safety and regulatory standards in industrial or electrical utility environments.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple projects, and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
