Job Description I. Job Profile

II. Job Summary

Ensure effective control of product development and modification processes. Responsible for planning, verifying, confirming, maintaining, and promoting new product processes, improve product development quality and reduce development costs. Assist with reviewing commercial quotation materials and lists.

III. Job Functions and Duties
  • Responsible to keep data, drawings, and standards effectively archived in a controlled way.
  • Responsible for development and confirmation of product standard requirements.
  • Responsible for Product Development APQP tasks as per IATF16949 and company internal process (Advanced Product Quality Planning) tasks including documentation.
  • Responsible for implementation of Engineering Change Notices.
  • Responsible for technical analysis and development of new products.
  • Responsible to lead Tooling Engineers, Process Engineers, and Packaging Engineers for requirements of their programs.
  • Responsible to monitor and aid the sample build and shipping process.
  • Responsible to track product status in production trials and acceptance of debugging parts.
  • Responsible to follow TS16949 and customer standards and internal development process.
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
  • Language Ability to read and understand English documents as needed. Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, leadership and customers. Ability to speak, read and/or write Mandarin is a plus.
  • Experience 1 or more years manufacturing experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Education Bachelor's Degree and above, major in mechanical engineering or related STEM degree.
  • Physical Condition Able to travel. Able to work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Other Requirements Experienced with manufacturing processes. Knowledge of automotive glass production a plus.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities utilized on the job Professional Knowledge, Skills Proficient in office software such as WORD, EXCEL, Power Point, & Outlook
  • Proficient in three-dimensional software UG, CATIA, and AutoCAD.
  • Experience in APQP documents such as [failure mode (FMEA), BOM, process flow diagram, DVP&R, etc.]
  • Experience in project development is preferred.
  • Training Required 3 to 6 months at start may be spent in production environment for training purposes.
  • Shadow current PE with his program to gain experience
V. Work Environment:

Bright, clean and well-ventilated office building. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Safety requirements for this position are safety glasses and steel-toed work boots.
