About this opportunity :

As a Research Assocaiate you will assist in the development of processes and methods for the synthesis, purification, ultrafiltration, and lyophilization of new and existing oligonucleotide products. Prepares and tests samples for analysis. You will also assist in product scale-up, process optimization, and process characterization activities. 

Key Job Responsibilities: 

  • Carry out laboratory work to develop/improve oligonucleotide processes 
  • Carry out laboratory support to assist in the solution of manufacturing process issues. 
  • Assist with laboratory preparations of API samples for customer use utilizing best available procedures and practices to produce requested amounts of material with acceptable quality attributes. 
  • Maintain laboratory documentation using standard scientific record keeping practices 
  • Adhere to all company and departmental environmental health and safety policies and procedures 
  • Perform assigned group responsibilities to maintain an efficient operating laboratory 
  • Maintain an appropriate level of training on company and departmental procedures as determined by Avecia and Process Development 
  • Acquire knowledge of oligonucleotide chemistry principles, theories, and processes 

Job Knowledge Required: 

Bachelor's Degree in science-related discipline with relevant knowledge. General knowledge of chemical laboratory procedures and equipment. 

The annualized salary range for this role is between $61,400.00 - $75,200.00.
