Job description

Job Summary:
The Enterprise Marketplace Product Development is responsible for leading the development, design, and ongoing evolution of the Marketplace product portfolio, including benefit strategy, competitive positioning, and product roadmap execution. This role serves as the primary architect of Marketplace product strategy and ensures alignment between product design, market needs, regulatory requirements, and enterprise growth objectives.
Essential Functions:
  • Lead development and execution of Marketplace product strategy, including benefit design and value proposition
  • Develop short- and long-term product roadmaps aligned to growth, profitability, and market objectives
  • Own product design decisions, including plan structure, benefits, and differentiation strategies
  • Evaluate competition and partner with other stakeholders to incorporate competitive insights into product strategy
  • Maintain and govern the Marketplace product "source of truth," including benefit interpretation and supporting tools
  • Lead cross-functional alignment across Product, Actuarial, Clinical, and Network teams to support product development
  • Drive product lifecycle management from concept through launch and post-launch optimization
  • Monitor product performance by segment, geography, and benefit design, recommending enhancements
  • Identify and manage product-related risks, including regulatory and operational impacts
  • Develop product documentation, policies, and decision frameworks to support enterprise adoption
  • Provide subject matter expertise on Marketplace product strategy to executive and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Perform any other job related duties as requested.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor of Arts (B.A) degree in Finance, Business or health care field, or other related field required
  • Equivalent years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of required education
  • Five (5) years of product management, product development, market strategy, or market research experience in the insurance industry required
  • Familiarity of the healthcare/managed care field and knowledge of government program products required
  • Healthcare insurance industry experience strongly preferred
  • Previous experience working with state and Federal regulators/government in a managed care setting is preferred

Compensation Range:
$94,100.00 - $164,800.00
CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate's education, training, and experience as well as the position's scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level. In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance.
