Overview

The Manager, Product Delivery (Engineering Manager) leads two scrum teams of software engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable products. This role combines people leadership, technical expertise, and delivery accountability. The Manager partners closely with Product and Design to translate business goals into technical execution, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering organization.

The Manager, Product Delivery is responsible for developing team members' skills, ensuring clarity of priorities, and supporting effective execution through agile delivery practices. This role requires a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and a passion for coaching teams to deliver customer-focused, data-driven solutions efficiently and predictably.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage two scrum teams of software engineers, providing coaching, mentorship, and career development.
  • Partner with Product and Design to define roadmap priorities, scope, and delivery timelines.
  • Drive the technical direction for products and ensure adherence to engineering best practices and coding standards.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that emphasizes accountability, learning, and continuous improvement.
  • Guide teams through all phases of the SDLC-from planning and estimation through implementation, release, and post-launch support.
  • Monitor and analyze key delivery metrics (velocity, throughput, quality) to inform team improvements.
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise release processes, security standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and cross-team collaboration to improve alignment and reduce delivery risks.
  • Partner with leadership on capacity planning, staffing, and long-term team health and scalability.
  • Identify and address delivery risks, technical blockers, and performance concerns proactively.
  • Collaborate with architecture and DevOps to maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing systems.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 3+ years leading engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple scrum teams delivering complex software products.
  • Strong understanding of modern software development practices, architecture, and Agile methodologies.
  • Proven ability to coach and mentor engineers, foster collaboration, and build high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong technical acumen and ability to translate business objectives into engineering outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in application development within the healthcare or medical staffing industry.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud technologies and microservices architectures.
