About the Role:

As the Process Engineering Manager, you will provide direction for the process department while promoting continuous improvement for a new plant. This is an exciting opportunity to implement continuous improvement best practices across multiple departments. You will develop new designs and modifications to the equipment to improve the production capability and the quality standards. As a Process Engineering Manager, you will lead process improvement projects in different manufacturing production processes, using Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques.

  • Works closely with Plant Management and Functional Teams to identify process bottlenecks, conducts root cause analysis and implements process improvements across the business or organization.
  • Maintain process operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing project, operational and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Initiates and leads projects that improve end-to-end processes: setup, validation, and audit measurement systems to deliver business impact.
  • Resolve quality issues by identifying problems, examining solutions, implementing action plans, and providing resources
  • Lead the Engineering Team at the plant.
  • Communicate key initiatives to Manager, Plant Operations
  • Drives productivity and process improvement projects aligned with business initiatives.
  • Conducts quality awareness, and Sigma Belt trainings within the organization
  • Coaches project teams to fulfill certification requirements, quality and process improvement objectives. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and benchmarking state-of-the-art practices
  • Drives the highest levels of employee retention and engagement to ensure a sustainable workforce.
  • Fosters a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the organization.
  • Instills an environment of inclusion, where all employees feel that they can contribute and impact the company in a positive manner.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical or Manufacturing Engineering or related field
  • Lean Six Sigma training/certification preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience as a Process Engineer in an industrial manufacturing environment involved with product trials, customer complaints and product testing
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience leading/supervising/managing high-performance teams in a similar environment

  • Ability to lead and train others in a fast-paced environment
