Job description

Job Description
We are seeking a Press Brake Operator who will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines to bend, form, and fabricate metal parts according to specifications. This is a first shift position working from 5:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with overtime available.
Job Duties:
  • Set up and operate press brake machines to produce parts to exact specifications
  • Interpret and work from blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders
  • Select, install, and adjust tooling, dies, back gauges, and machine settings
  • Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, tape measures, and other precision tools
  • Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments for quality and efficiency
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and report mechanical issues
  • Maintain clean, organized work area following safety policies and procedures
  • Work with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
  • Troubleshoot problem and correctly fill out tags associated with production to identify parts produced
  • Monitors the calibration of the equipment they use within their department
  • Perform other duties as needed

Job Requirements
Job Qualifications:
  • Must have a High school diploma or GED
  • One to 3 years of experience operating a press brake is preferred
  • Must have excellent troubleshooting and mechanical skills
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Must have strong math skills, including understanding of measurements and tolerances
  • Knowledge of metal types, thicknesses, and bending characteristics is required
  • Must be able to accurately use precision measurement tools while being detail-oriented
  • Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds and be comfortable standing, bending, lifting, and performing repetitive motions
  • Safety shoe and glasses must be worn at all times
