Position Overview
We are seeking a Hot Press Machine Operator to join our Operations team at our Coldwater, Michigan manufacturing facility.
The Hot Press Machine Operator is responsible for safely operating and monitoring hot press equipment used in the manufacturing of advanced metal products. This position will set up equipment, monitor production processes, handle materials, complete required inspections and documentation, and make adjustments as needed to ensure products meet established quality and production requirements.
This is a hands-on manufacturing role ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and comfortable working with industrial equipment in a high-temperature manufacturing environment.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and monitor hot press equipment according to established work instructions and production requirements.
  • Load and unload materials while safely handling parts, tooling, and production equipment.
  • Monitor temperature, pressure, cycle times, and other process parameters to maintain consistent product quality.
  • Perform in-process inspections and verify products meet required specifications.
  • Identify basic equipment or process issues and communicate abnormalities to Production, Maintenance, or Quality.
  • Complete required production, quality, material, and equipment documentation accurately.
  • Perform routine equipment checks, cleaning, and basic operator maintenance to support reliable operation.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
