Job description

JOB TITLE: Press Operator
SUMMARY: Operates Stokes compression press to form powdered pills into finished, cured buttons by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Operate press that they are assigned.
Load pills on loading board, insert on to cavities, start press to cure buttons, remove cured buttons, begin process again.
Meet established production goals.
Remove obvious defects, pills and buttons, from the production lot they are running. Notify the Group Leader if a lot is exceptionally poor.
Grease mold posts at the start of their shift.
Clean their area at the end of their shift. This includes the area around their press and under work benches.
Notify Group Leader or Floorworker if any press equipment needs repair. Examples are oil and steam leaks.
Sign off on daily production sheet. Foreman.
If a problem exist, notify
Ensure that area and equipment are kept clean and maintained.
