Job description

Quanex is looking for a Mold Operator to join our team located in Zanesville, OH.
As a Mold Operator, you are responsible for handling trimming and preparing molded parts for shipment and for handling, trimming and preparing blow molded parts for foam filling, including setting parts into fixtures and operating the foam filling equipment.

What's attractive about the Mold Operator?
  • Hourly Wage is $20 hour
  • Shift times- Monday through Thursday- 6:00am- 4:30pm
  • Small facility with resources and support of a large organization

What Success Looks Like:
  • Safely remove parts from the blow molding machine to maintain the machine operation & cycle time and trim blow molded parts and wipe clean.
  • Safely perform secondary operations such as drill holes, attaching inserts, routing, sanding and setting parts into out of the fixtures & holding devices.
  • Safety load materials into the thermoforming equipment.
  • Safely prepare parts of foam filling process and operate the foam filling dispensing equipment.
  • Assist with the setup and process preparation of the foam system.
  • Manage time and workload during the day.
  • Participate in lean/continuous improvement activities.

Your Credentials:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior production experience preferred.

The salary for this position is $20.00 per hour with bonus potential.
